Day 1. Barreirinhas - APA Pequenos Lençóis - Atins - Rio Negro - Oasis Baixa Grande.
Departures from Barreirinhas at 8:30 am. We'll start the tour by flying boat, visit the Environmental Preservation Area (APA - Pequenos Lençóis Maranhenses, a State Conservation Unit), visit the villages of Vassouras, Mandacaru and stop for lunch at Caburé beach. After lunch, a short rest break, the boat leaves for Atins at 1:40 p.m. and arrives at 2:00 p.m. at the port of Atins.
From there there will be a 4×4 transport, to take us straight to the mouth of the Rio Negro, from where we will start walking towards the Oasis Baixa Grande (the journey by car takes around 1 hour), then it's a 7km to 8km walk (2-3 hours) to the oasis.
Oásis Baixa Grande - 6 families live in this corner of nature. The beauty of the sandbank that resists the advance of the dunes is impressive. The locals live out their tradition with their aptitude for free-range farming of small goats, sheep, pigs and chickens. Fishing on the beach, rivers and lagoons are also part of the families' daily lives, and some families now also make a living from tourism. Take advantage of your free time to explore the locals' backyards and strike up a good conversation with them. Tiquira (manioc brandy), typical of the region, is a tradition. We'll spend the night in the house of a native family.
Day 2 - Oasis Baixa Grande - Oasis Queimada dos Britos (12km).
The walk starts at 5:30 a.m., with coffee served at 5. The walk is 12km long, it takes 3-4 hours of effective walking, we will watch the sunrise and cross the Rio Negro and understand its dynamics in the desert, we will get to know Ponta do Peadouro, a region of high dunes, with excellent views of the region. Arrival in the village is scheduled for 10:30 am. We'll stay in the house of a native family, where we'll have meals and spend the night in a hammock.
Queimada dos Britos is the second Oasis to be visited, a village with 20 families, already associated with the municipality of Santo Amaro do Maranhão. The typical vegetation is restinga (sandbank). During the flood months, the village is partially flooded, which makes the adventure of leaving at dawn all the more exciting. The community has a small adapted school for 9 children. 11:00 - 15:30 Time for lunch and rest 16:00 - Lagoon bath and sunset.
19:00 - Dinner Free evening.

3rd day - Oasis Queimada dos Britos - Betânia (18km)
Departure is scheduled for 3:00 am, breakfast is served at 2:30 am. The walk to the village of Betânia takes 6-9 hours between swimming and hiking. On the way you can see the region's large lagoons, such as Lagoa das Cabras and Lagoa do Junco. Arrival is scheduled for 10:00hrs.
10:30 am - drive to Santo Amaro in 4x4
13:00 - Return to Barreirinhas private car
